This is just a draft from my actual speech. Changes may be made depending on errors and aesthetic reasons. Please help me make a better speech. Critiques are encouraged to comment and protest. ^-^

Bob Marley once said, "Once you smoke the herb, you'll find your true self." Hilarious enough, but then hides a deeper meaning. Bob Marley, a music icon who lived in a philosophy that Marijuana is the hope of the nation, made a very big mark on spreading advantages of Marijuana. Marijuana, as we all know, is an illegal, narcotic drug here in the Philippines. But what we don't know is that Marijuana is also a therapeutic medicine that can lessen stress and depression, relieve migraine headaches, and stimulate appetite. These are just some of the advantages Marijuana can give us.

What if people in the government smokes Marijuana just like smoking a regular cigar? What do you think could happen? Maybe they'll be able to reveal their true selves and there wouldn't be too much corruption. Maybe, they would be honest and calm with each other. Thus, starts the unity and progression. It would have been a better governance.

Imagine if teenagers can smoke these freely. Maybe, they wouldn't be too emotional and pessimistic. Thus, lessening of teens that dies from suicide. Making it easier for the parents to handle them and guide them that life is still beautiful.

Imagine if sick people in the country are to use this drug, maybe death can be avoided because fear from operations are also a major element on sudden deaths in hospitals. If they were more calm, doctors can do their jobs easily. In Jamaica and Amsterdam, doctors use Marijuana to their patients who undergo chemotherapy due to cancer to lessen their pain and calm with their patients. Maybe that's what we should also be doing.

Marijuana can also be used in many different ways other than a drug. Just like the coconut tree, the tree of life. Maybe we should consider Marijuana as the plant of life or the dope of the nation. But, when I said that Marijuana is a good thing, it should not be abused. We all know that anything too much is not good. Everything should be kept in moderate. This is what people should be thinking rather than a negative notion that marijuana is illegal and people sees just that negative of it. Therefore, Marijuana should be legalized, and if that happens, users should be smarter. We should all be smarter, for the sake of the nation.

as of now, mabaho pa siya. I need some comments and suggestions to beautify my speech. I'm going to present this to class and I don't want to be laughed at. We've been doing some pratice every meeting but it's not enough. My topic is driving me crazy!!

So cmnt now ppl! Away tayo!

ahehe... just a comment... •piz•
Marijuana like any other prohibited drugs are bad for our health [specially on our nervous system]
you can't say na dapat we'll use it in a moderate way. like sa medicine, yes it has medicinal value, pero it has an addictive substance. like nicotine sa cigarettes. once you used it. you'll never get away from it.
ahehe..
isa pah. it won't be prohibited if lamang ang good effects nya.
just a thought..
but your speech is unique..
mejo bwasan mo lang ung paggamit mo sa word na marijuana. try using a pronoun instead. ska in a speech try not to be so emotional. you should deal more with the facts.
and not just an outlook.
ei comment ko lang toh ha.,.
it's up to you if you'll take it or not.. ahihi..

wow thanks.
@ stardustppris:
it's really hard to make a speech with such a crazy topic. kasi dapat yung topic ng speech namin kailangan talagang kabaligtaran ng kung ano ang TAMA. Kailangan yung mali mapabango mo, so that was the challenge. I've researched things about marijuana and in the end all i got is masama talaga sha. so I came up with a result / technique of getting emotional na lang. lol. hopeless na eh.

anyways, thank you for your comment. I really appreciate this. I'll use more pronoun as you say it ^-^

@ ate joyz: lmao. haha. thank you sa support :)

Matahari here actually
this speech looks and sounds simple, ur using layman's terms ika nga. Ok naman, but in order for you to get your point across, it would be better if u use words na pang speech talaga. take a look at this:

in everyday conversation, we cud use the word DIG.
in a formal speech or sumthng lyk dat, we use the word EXCAVATE.

DIG= EXCAVATE
but mas sosyal at complex pakinggan ang excavate diba?

generally, ok naman tong sinulat mo d2.
nagsusuggest lang, u know, para maximum ang effect.

gud luck!!!kaya mo yan lorraine!

okay.
One of my classmates made an extravagant speech using hyphaluting words. maganda yung speech niya pero nung binigkas na niya it's not that good (sabi yan ng prof namin). sabi ni sir, try to use words daw that you can say properly. So I kind of avoided that.

anyways Matahari, thank you for your comment. I'll try to take it in for consideration. appreciate much :)

@kiahchii: wahaha. pramis last na to about marijuana XD i'm getting sick of it na rin, eh hahaha.
